Basil Gabbidon, founder member and lead guitarist of world renowned reggae band Steel Pulse, three times nominated for Grammy’s.

After four successful albums, including the highly acclaimed ”Handsworth Revolution”, he left and returned to his Handsworth home forming Bassdance” with his brother Colin and recorded two albums “Loud”, and “Louder”

Gabbidon continues and strives to maintain a high standard of reggae music. With the inclusion of former Burning Spear bass player, Paul Beckford

Pub Tropicana vs Reggae Records.

We’re really excited about next months Pub Tropicana as we are going head to head with one of the most successful online retailers of Jamaican music, Reggae Records.

Reggae Records mission is to keep vinyl alive by spreading its still unique sound and educating the masses about quality and conscious sounds. They distribute, retail, and wholesale reggae mainly but also hybrid genres of Reggae such as Ragga, Jungle and Ragga Dubstep. They also specialize in 7” Classics, Oldies, Dancehall, Nu Roots, Mash Ups, and Remixes all of which are produced on vinyl.

Pub Tropicana will be repping the Dancehall & Bashment corner with a few sneaky bangers thrown in.

As per usual the event is FREE ENTRY all night long with drink deals at the bar.
